There are two departments of Fire services operated here. While one by the State Govt. and other one by the authority of Rourkela Steel Plant ( RSP ).
The Rourkela Steel Plant Maintained Fire Service system operated from the Steel Plant campus. This system mainly works for Fire services inside the plant premises as well as Rourkela Steel Township, particularly sector and fertilizer township (sector-22) area . But in emergency situation this service may be extended to the other areas as well.
