Towards the way of urbanization, the NH-143 project was started in 2011, and Union Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation of the new Brahmani bridge in 2017; this project was completed by June 30, 2024. The stretch of the new six-lane bridge over Bramani River. It runs from Gumla ( Jharkhand ) to Barkote ( Odisha ); it communicates from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela and spans a total distance of 152km from Saraipali to Raighar. This highway starts from the junction with NH-43 near Gumla, connecting Pulkot > Kolebira > Thethaitanagar junction with NH-49 near Barkot.

Other than that, the state Highway NH-215, the newly built Panikoili to Rimuli stretch of NH-20. This four-lane expansion of NH-215 length is around 348 km. This construction covers from Anandpur > Kendujhar > Rajamunda > Palalahari > Talcher.
